Welcome to Glenesk School
The early years of life are so important and at Glenesk we aim to create a secure, stimulating and happy environment in which young people can thrive. Our qualified and experienced staff in the nursery ensure that our two year olds are gently introduced to school life with Dance, Music and Drama being included in their weekly timetable.
In Kindergarten (3-4 years) we follow the Foundation Stage curriculum with the addition of French. Pupils attend a minimum of three morning sessions in their first term, adding lunch and afternoons gradually throughout the year.
Once in fulltime school pupils benefit from a full Sports programme including football, netball, gymnastics and swimming in our indoor heated pool.
All core curriculum subjects are taught to a high standard and the eldest year two children are prepared for their entrance tests for their future schools at the end of Key Stage 1.
We offer an early morning club, Early Birds, and a range of after school activities including Judo, Dance, Crafts, Swimming and Saturday Sport.
