It’s not a stick!
The children have loved being out in the nearby “Drift Wood” finding out
about Autumn and enjoying the Autumn weather. It all started with Year 1’s topic book “It’s not a stick”. The children made “marching Sticks” out of hazel, whittled them with a potato peeler and decorated them with feathers, then set off with Mrs Tod, Mrs Hudson and Mrs Bradley to explore the Drift Wood. They collected moss, sticks and leaves, measured trees to find out how old they were and used their senses to explore their woodland environment. When they came back to school they made ephemeral art in the style of Andy Goldsworthy.
