Head's Welcome

Welcome to Glenesk School.

“Our aim is to nurture, care for and develop the potential of each child, encouraging them to experience the joy of discovery and learning.”

Find out more about our school from the Head, Mrs Sarah Bradley.

We are hugely proud of our unique position as Early Years specialists, who know how to get the best from your child during their formative years. This is a special and magical time and our children are guaranteed an extraordinarily warm welcome, where there is an emphasis on a broad reading-based curriculum, with a wealth of opportunities to explore, learn and develop.

We provide an exceptionally caring, inclusive and happy environment with traditional values of courtesy and respect, alongside first-class teaching and pastoral care. Our passionate, committed and highly qualified teaching staff all have Early Years degrees and are supported by specialist music and PE teachers. When your child joins our school they will become part of a family who supports, inspires and nurtures them. Our school equips children with the skills and confidence to challenge themselves, to succeed and to be happy in all they do.

Our children swim in our heated indoor pool, learn gymnastics from coaches who have international and national competition experience, sing and learn music in our dedicated music room or can opt to participate in a diverse range of extra-curricular clubs, including swimming, Forest School, sport, gardening, cookery and dance.

Our pupils are uniquely prepared for entry to a wide variety of exclusive selective schools and this is testament to our success. Our website can give you a flavour of our ethos and uniquely inclusive atmosphere but I would warmly invite you to visit and witness our school in action. We look forward to the opportunity to show you and your child what makes our school such an exciting and rewarding place.
