Admissions Process

Joining us is straightforward

Apply for a place at our exceptional school and put your child on the path to a fantastic educational experience. We have designed our admissions process to be as easy as possible and we will happily guide you every step of the way.

Easy 5 step process

1
Get in touch

Give our Admissions Manager a call on 01483 282329 to discuss your child's needs, check availability and find out more about our impressive school.

2
Visit us

Appointments for a private tour of the school may be made through our Admissions Manager, Emily Collins and these usually last about an hour and a half. Our Headteacher, Mrs Sarah Bradley, will take you on a tour of the school and answer any questions you may have regarding your child’s future education.

3
Apply

Following this initial meeting and tour of the school you may register your child for the appropriate class and the preferred date of entry by completing a registration form and paying a non-returnable registration fee of £75. Places are not guaranteed at this stage and will only be formally offered at acceptance stage pending availability and/or after a taster visit. For Nursery and Rising Reception places a child’s date of birth, date of registration, desired entry date, sibling priority, number of sessions required and whether the parents are also considering the school for their child will also be taken into consideration when offering places.

4
Acceptance & Deposit

If a place is available that matches your requirements an acceptance pack with all the necessary paperwork to confirm a child’s place is sent out 1 term before entry in order to formally finalise the place. The deposit is returned only when your child leaves the school with a terms notice.

5
Taster Session

For new children joining Reception and above taster sessions are offered and for those in Nursery and Rising Reception, settling in sessions will be discussed with the class teachers. Our Parents Association, Friends of Glenesk School (FOGS) hold regular parents coffee mornings and social events which new parents can join.
