Admissions Procedure

Admissions Procedure

We are always happy to welcome visitors to Glenesk.

Our simple, step-by-step guide to enrolling your child into our school is both unique and informative.

Thank you for your interest in our school. As a result of the current coronavirus crisis, we are changing the way we are working to provide parents with the peace of mind that they can still plan for their child’s educational future through our Virtual Admissions Process. You can still contact the team using the information below.

Step 1

Visit the School

Appointments for a private tour of the school may be made through our Registrar, Mrs Judith Kadhim and these usually last about an hour and a half. Our Headteacher, Mrs Sarah Bradley, will take you on a tour of the school and answer any questions you may have regarding your child’s future education.

Step 2

Registration Fee

Following this initial meeting and tour of the school your child is registered for the appropriate class and the date of entry agreed. A registration form is completed with a non-returnable registration fee of £75 which guarantees a place for your child for agreed date of entry. An Admissions Pack is sent out two terms before entry.

Step 3

A deposit of £500 is requested when all necessary paperwork for entry is returned to us and this is usually sent out 2 terms before your child joins us. This is returned when your child leaves the school.

Step 4

Taster Session

For new children joining Reception and above taster sessions are offered and for those in Nursery and Rising Reception, settling in sessions will be discussed with the class teachers. FOGS hold regular parents coffee mornings and social events which new parents can join.
