Wraparound Care

Prioritising the wellbeing of our pupils

We understand the importance of providing comprehensive support for our pupils and their families beyond the regular school day. Our wraparound care program is designed to ensure that every child's needs are met holistically, encompassing their academic, emotional, and physical wellbeing.

With a team of dedicated and experienced professionals, we offer a safe and nurturing environment where students can thrive outside the classroom. From extended hours of supervision to engaging enrichment activities, our wraparound care program strives to create a seamless transition between school and home, fostering a sense of belonging and continuity for our pupils.

We are committed to providing exceptional care that aligns with our school's values, promoting character development, fostering friendships, and nurturing each child's individual growth.

Before school

Our Early Birds club operates from 7.45am in the morning until the start of the school day at 8.30am.

Children can play in the class or garden, draw or read books. Early Birds does not include breakfast.

After school

We run a very popular Stay & Play club from the end of the school day until 6.00pm where your child can enjoy playing or relaxing after the busy school day, supervised by qualified staff.

For the children who stay late, a hot meal is provided at 4.30pm. We ask that you give us at least 24 hours’ notice if your child will be using this service to ensure that we have the correct staffing levels. Please book through the Cognita Connect app before 11am on the day. We also offer a range of after school clubs.

Glenesk is truly a “one-of-a-kind” place made so special by all of the wonderful staff you have there and the interesting and engaging activities you put on for all the little ones.

Our holiday camps are run by SuperCamps, a division of Cognita for over 10 years and leading provider of childcare in the UK for over 20 years.

SuperCamps ensure the highest standard of care in line with the Cognita family values. They are led by qualified and experienced staff, offering a wide range of fun and engaging activities for children age 4 -12 throughout the school holidays.

At Supercamps at Glenesk School, we also offer a holiday camp provision for our Nursery children from age 2-3. These places are just for Glenesk Nursery children and can be booked by calling Supercamps directly. Places are limited so early booking is advised.
